The Drawing Room - Anita Taylor
A fabulous crowd at the opening, a bit of a squeeze but lots of great and interesting art folk and definitely one to put the Drawing Room on the map. I had no idea that Anita Taylor did such beautiful work or the fact that she is an Artist to.
It’s so refreshing to see such big and bold work, work that is breathtaking. These works are electrifying, gorgeous, gigantic, wild and sumptuous. As I was filming the work I could feel the gaze of the eyes follow me as I circled the room, this work has guts, substance, the faces with washer woman figures ooze with intense confidence. ‘Vestiges’ and ‘Glance’ both charcoal on paper are the most beautiful with their lucid approach and ease of the wrist as they are in their size.
Can’t wait to see what is next up on Anita’s work table, I wait with bated breath.
